1851: In het najaar van 1851 volgde de benoeming van directeur Van Leersum tot directeur van het postkantoor te Breda. Zijn opvolger – C.Sitter – trok aanvankelijk in het door zijn voorganger verlaten pand aan de Westwagenstraat, maar in 1853 verhuisde hij naar de Molenstraat. Het logische gevolg was de verplaatsing van het postkantoor naar het pand Molenstraat 35, want de directeur hield kantoor aan huis.
